The soulful R&B jams of the 60s will be recreated with an epic 10-piece live band and 15 of Honolulu’s fiercest soul singers, including American Idol finalists Big Mox, Na Hoku Hanohano Award winner, Yoza, local favorites Keilana, Maile, Kahma, Melodie Soul, Ginai, Melissa Diallo, Gabriel Miller, The Elevations, Ken Lykes & Shain Miller. The band’s wall of sound will be complete with The Powerhouse Horns brass, keys, and backing vocalists. We will be rolling out Motown era classic hits like Stevie Wonder’s “Superstition,” Sam Cooke’s “Cupid,” and "Be My Baby" from the Ronnettes.
Original opening sets will be provided by Blues Rock band Kings of Spade and Keith Batlin’s Blues Experience. Special cabaret performances will feature Violetta Beretta, Madame X, & Luna Velour. DJ JODHI will be spinning 60s classics to set the mood before the show.
KINGS OF SPADE is a high-energy, foot-stomping, shameless dancing Blues-Rock act from Hawaii. The Kings are fronted by KC, who’s firey and passionate vocals cross between Janis Joplin and Aretha Franklin. Picked as openers for Guns ‘N Roses at Aloha Stadium, KOS has also been featured at Willie K’s Blues Festival, Riki Rachtman’s Cathouse Anniversary, and on iconic stages like the Roxy Theater in Los Angeles all the way to the Stone Pony in New Jersey. They have toured as openers for King’s X in the US and Europe.
